Matcha Twix (Caramel Bites)

Ingredients for 1 baking tray

For the bottom layer:

  • 120g almond flour
  • 30g oat flour (gluten free)
  • 6-7 tbsp coconut oil, neutral
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp grounded vanilla
  • 1 pinch of salt

For the caramel sauce:

  • 10 Medjool dates, pitted and soaked in boiling water for 30 minutes
  • 50 g date syrup
  • 50 g almond or cashew butter
  • 120g coconut oil
  • 1 (leveled) tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Topping:

  • 2 x Matcha Chocolate from Health Bar

Preparation:

First, blend all the ingredients for the base into a dough in the food processor. Press into a brownie mold and bake at 180 degrees (preheated, top and bottom heat) for 10 minutes. Let it cool down completely. In the meantime, mix the ingredients for the caramel sauce in a blender until creamy. Spread onto the cooled down bottom layer. Let it chill in the fridge. Melt the chocolate over a water bath and top the Caramel Bites with it! Store in the fridge!
