    Description

    Ingredients: 100% Organic Matcha Traditional, 1st & 2nd Harvest

Cultivar: Oshii Blend consisting of Seamidori, Okumidori, and Yabukita

The ground green traditional tea with Ceremonial Grade is grown in Uji, Japan. It comes from the 1st and 2nd harvest of the year and has a slightly more intense flavor than our Premium Matcha. The region is known for its clean water and nutrient-rich soil, free from pesticides. The leaves of the Tencha tea are hand-picked here, gently steamed, and then ground with granite stones.

Our organic certified Matcha impresses with its almost neon green color, its intense, creamy umami flavor - free from any bitterness!

Note: Please store in a cool and dry place!

    What is Matcha?

    What is Matcha ?

Matcha is grounded green tea in its purest form, but contains more secondary plant substances ( color, fragrance, and flavor) and is therefore better than conventional green tea.

What makes Matcha powder so healthy is the high content of healthy antioxidants that support the immune system and have anti-aging benefits. Because unlike green tea, where the tea leaves are only brewed in hot water, with matcha you drink the whole grounded tea leaves. This explains the more intensive taste of Matcha.

    quality guarantee

Leaves from the first and second harvest in spring are used for our organic Matcha Traditional with Ceremonial Grade. These are mild yet intense in taste and differ in quality (taste and color) from all subsequent harvests that follow in the other months of the year.another difference in quality is the harvesting and processing by hand.hardly any machines are used in the harvesting of our matcha. The first leaves are picked by hand, gently steamed and ground with granite stones. No pesticides are used in cultivation. Annual soil samples and laboratory tests for heavy metal and radiation contamination are carried out to ensure the best possible quality. In addition, each batch is carefully checked for its mineral properties. Our quality is confirmed by the strict standards of the organic certificate of the Japanese certification body JONA and the German organic certification.

    • Sustainable

"The environment is close to our hearts, which is why our Matcha packaging is recyclable!"

The Traditional Matcha is somewhat more intense in flavor than the Ceremonial Matcha. In fact, I really enjoy drinking both plain, but I still prefer the Ceremonial Matcha.

    Stefanie Giesinger

In summer, I like to drink iced Matcha latte with our traditional Matcha and a splash of rice-coconut milk. On colder days, it has to be our ceremonial Matcha - pure with warm water without any additional ingredients!

    Nancy Tabillion

One of my favorite matcha brands I’ve tried! It’s very smooth, has a good flavor, and is an overall good matcha for a reasonable price. I will def buy it again!

    Thuha Nguyen

    My absolute favorite matcha 💚

"I have already tried many varieties, but this one is my undisputed favorite. Whether warm with oat milk or iced with mango puree - it is the perfect energy supplier and exactly what I love to start my morning with."

Benefits - Matcha as a jack of all trades

The fine powder is rich in antioxidants, which not only support the immune system but also slow down the aging process.

More energy, better concentration. Matcha contains more caffeine than coffee. The significant difference: Matcha exerts its effects gently. While the caffeine in coffee enters the bloodstream within 30-45 minutes, this process lasts a whole 6 to 8 hours with Matcha, which is a major advantage. This way, high adrenaline and insulin spikes are prevented, unnecessarily stressing the body. The high amount of L-Theanine and other nutrients also have an additional positive impact on the immune system.

    • Production

Our tea farm is a traditional company that has been a family business for several generations and has been producing organic matcha for several decades.

"Our quality is confirmed by the strict standards of the eco-certification from the Japanese certification body JONA and the German organic certification."

    • Cultivation

The tea farmers protect the plants from the sun with black textile sheets or traditionally with straw. In addition, solar panels are used. This increases the chlorophyll content in the leaves and makes the taste softer. The cultivation is done without pesticides. Annual soil samples and laboratory tests regarding heavy metal and radiation exposure are conducted to ensure the best possible quality. Furthermore, each batch is carefully checked for its mineral properties.

    • Origin

The cultivation area for Matcha tea is one of the best and also one of the oldest tea-growing regions in Japan: the Uji region, located west of Osaka. The region is known for its clean water and nutrient-rich soil, free from pesticides. The suitable climate is present on site: The mist from the Uji and Kizu rivers keeps the tea plants moist and reduces the risk of frost damage.

It is very high-quality Matcha and tastes very very good. The price for the quantity could be a bit lower (Matcha is generally very expensive)
