💡 Tips & Tricks

  • The bars freeze perfectly – simply store them in a box in the freezer and let them thaw for 10 minutes when needed.
  • Instead of whole almonds, you can also use chopped nuts or roasted pistachios.
  • For a caffeine-free version, simply omit the matcha – but hey, then you're missing the best part 😉
Do I need to chill the bars in the freezer?

Yes, so they're firm enough to be easily cut into pieces. Then you can simply store them in the refrigerator.

What quality of matcha should I use?

We recommendCeremonial Matcha, as it is particularly mild, finely ground, and intensely colored. For raw recipes like this, quality is crucial – ourOrganic Ceremonial Matchais perfect for this.

Are the bars tasty without chocolate?

Yes! You can leave out the chocolate and enjoy the bars plain – or top them with some coconut flakes. The base tastes great even without a topping.

Are the bars also suitable for takeaway?

If stored in a cool place, yes. Ideally, take it with you in an insulated container or refrigerated. The chocolate softens in hot weather, so it's more suitable for chilly days or office snacks.

Can I bake nut-free instead of almonds?

Sure! Just use sunflower seeds, puffed quinoa, or leave out the nuts altogether. The bars will still be delicious even without the crunch.
