Discover our refill pack, the more sustainable option for regularly refilling your matcha tin!

This ground traditional green tea with Ceremonial Grade is grown in Uji, Japan. It comes from the first and second harvests of the year and has a slightly more intense flavor than our Premium Matcha. The region is known for its clean water and nutrient-rich soil, free from pesticides. The leaves of the Tencha tea are hand-picked here, gently steamed, and then ground with granite stones.

Our organically certified matcha impresses with its almost neon green color and its intense, creamy umami flavor—free of any bitterness!

Note: Please store in a cool, dry place!

What is Matcha?

What is matcha?

Matcha is ground green tea in its purest form, containing more secondary plant compounds (color, fragrance, and flavor compounds) and is therefore better than regular green tea.
What distinguishes matcha powder is its high content of healthy antioxidants, which are said to support the immune system and counteract the aging process. Unlike green tea, where the tea leaves are only steeped in hot water, matcha involves drinking the ground tea leaves completely. This also intensifies the flavor.

quality guarantee

For our Organic Matcha Traditional with Ceremonial Grade, leaves from the first and second harvest in spring are used. These are mild yet intense in flavor and differ qualitatively (in taste and color) from all subsequent harvests that follow in the later months of the year.
Another quality difference is the hand harvesting and processing.
In the harvest of our Matcha, hardly any machines are used. The first leaves are hand-picked, gently steamed, and ground with granite stones.

The cultivation is done without pesticides. Annual soil samples and laboratory tests regarding heavy metal and radiation exposure are conducted to ensure the best possible quality. Additionally, each batch is carefully checked for its mineral properties.

Our quality is confirmed by the strict standards of the eco-certificate from the Japanese certification body JONA and the German organic certification.

The Traditional Matcha has a slightly more intense flavor than the Ceremonial Matcha. I actually enjoy drinking both neat, but I still prefer the Ceremonial Matcha.

Stefanie Giesinger

In the summer, I like to drink an Iced Matcha Latte with our Traditional Matcha and a splash of rice and coconut milk. On colder days, it has to be our Ceremonial Matcha – pure with warm water, with no additives!

Nancy Tabillion

One of my favorite matcha brands I’ve tried! It’s very smooth, has a good flavor, and is an overall good matcha for a reasonable price. I will def buy it again!

Thuha Nguyen

My absolute favorite matcha 💚

I've tried many varieties, but this one is my undisputed favorite. Whether warm with oat milk or iced with mango puree, it's the perfect energy booster and exactly what I like to start my morning with.

Benefits - Matcha as an all-rounder

Our organic matcha represents pure enjoyment and contains natural caffeine – ideal for your daily matcha routine. Matcha contains more caffeine than coffee – a gentle, natural source of caffeine – a conscious alternative to coffee.

  • production

Our tea farm is a traditional family business that has been in operation for several generations and has been producing organic matcha for several decades.

Our quality is confirmed by the strict standards of the organic certificate from the Japanese certification body JONA and the German organic certification.

  • Cultivation

The tea farmers protect the plants from the sun with black textile sheets or, traditionally, straw. Solar panels are also used. This increases the chlorophyll content in the leaves and softens the flavor. Cultivation is carried out without pesticides. Annual soil samples are taken, as well as laboratory tests for heavy metal and radiation contamination, to ensure the highest possible quality. Furthermore, each batch is carefully tested for its mineral content.

  • origin

The Matcha tea growing region is one of the best and oldest in Japan: the Uji region, west of Osaka. The region is known for its clean water and nutrient-rich soil, free of pesticides. The climate is ideal: mist from the Uji and Kizu rivers keeps the tea plants moist and reduces the risk of frost damage.

Super delicious

I have always had the ceremonial variant, but I must say that I am convinced by these. Tastes super good and has a really nice color.

My all-time favorite Matcha <3

Absolutely recommended! I have already tried countless brands and always come back to this one. This is by far the best Matcha! 🍵 It tastes perfectly "green" to me and is also easy to dose. I don't need a sieve because this one is so finely ground! The color is always my highlight! So beautifully bright and deep green! 😍 I always reorder the 250g package. Totally worth it!

Absolutely recommended price-performance ratio

I have been using the Healthbar Matcha for so long - I have always drunk a lot of matcha, so over time I have tried many different powders from different brands. Hardly any tastes as good and 'real' as this one - especially for this price-performance ratio. Clear recommendation! Unfortunately, the large pack only lasts me 2 months🙈

Heartfelt recommendation

I drink Matcha 2 times every day and love it. I wish there were larger metal containers, as I will definitely buy the largest pack next time, since due to my consumption it is the best option. So buy and try - so far I haven't found a better Matcha anywhere.

Super delicious - everything as shown and described.

the more affordable sister of ceremonial matcha

A great, more affordable alternative to ceremonial-grade matcha — perfect if you want to enjoy café-quality matcha at home. You can barely taste the difference from 100% first-harvest matcha. I think it's so cool that you're offering this, because not everyone can afford a €6 matcha at a café.
