What is Matcha?

Matcha is ground green tea in its purest form, but contains more secondary plant substances (color, scent, and aroma compounds) and is therefore better than conventional green tea.
What distinguishes Matcha powder is a high content of healthy antioxidants that support the immune system and are supposed to counteract the aging process. Unlike green tea, where the tea leaves are only steeped in hot water, with Matcha you drink the ground tea leaves completely. This also makes the taste more intense.

What does Ceremonial mean and how can you recognize the highest quality?

Our Ceremonial organic Matcha has the highest quality, which means that leaves from the very first harvest in spring are used. These are particularly mild in taste and differ qualitatively (taste and color) from all subsequent harvests that follow in the later months of the year.
Another quality difference is the harvesting and processing by hand.
In the harvest of our Matcha, hardly any machines are used. The first leaves are hand-picked, gently steamed, and ground with granite stones.

Cultivation is done without pesticides. Annual soil samples and lab tests regarding heavy metal and radiation contamination are conducted to deliver the best possible quality. Additionally, each batch is carefully checked for its mineral properties.

Our quality is confirmed by strict standards of the organic certificate from the Japanese certification body JONA and the German organic certification.

Free shipping within Germany for orders over €50. The delivery time is: 2-4 working days within Germany after order receipt and 3-7 working days across Europe.

International shipping costs apply for worldwide shipping or within the EU.

Exception to the return conditions Matcha kits that have damaged packaging can only be returned for a compensation fee of 5 EUR. If the damaged packaging concerns perishable food items, these products are completely excluded from return.

In general, goods that arrive damaged and were not properly packaged are excluded from exchange!
