💡 Tips & Tricks

  • You can also bake the snails directly in muffin tins – for perfect individual portions
  • Instead of almond butter, you can also use cashew or hazelnut butter.
  • If you like it extra creamy, serve it with some vegan vanilla sauce as a dip.
Can I use regular flour instead of oat flour?

Sure! You can replace oat flour with spelt or wheat flour, for example—but then the recipe will no longer be gluten-free. The consistency will remain similar.

Can I prepare the dough and bake it later?

Yes, you can prepare the rolled snails, cover them in the pan, and refrigerate them overnight. Bake them fresh the next morning!

Can you taste the matcha strongly?

No, rather subtle – the matcha provides a light green tea note and harmonizes beautifully with the cinnamon and nutty dough. Ideal for beginners!

Can I use a different cream instead of soy yogurt?

Yes! Coconut yogurt or vegan quark work just as well – you can also top it with a dollop of whipped cream and matcha.

Can I freeze the rolls?

Absolutely! Simply let them cool completely after baking and freeze them individually in an airtight container. To enjoy, thaw them briefly and warm them in the oven.
