✨ Ingredients for about 15 chocolates

  • 200 g vegan marzipan (without honey)
  • 1–2 tsp HEALTHBAR Matcha
  • a few blanched almonds
  • vegan chocolate for coating (optionally refined with matcha)

🧑‍🍳 So geht’s – Step by Step

1. Divide and color the marzipan
Divide the marzipan into two equal portions. Knead one half with HEALTHBAR Matcha until a rich green color forms.

2. Forms
Marble the green and light marzipan as desired, layer them, or use them individually. Roll each of the approximately 12 g pieces into small balls – plain or with a blanched almond inside.

3. Melt the chocolate
Melt vegan chocolate in a double boiler. Optionally, stir in some matcha for a green effect on the outside as well.

4. Coat & cool
Dip the balls into the chocolate with a fork, let them drain, and place them on baking paper. Chill in the refrigerator until the chocolate is solid.

💡 Tips & Tricks

  • For marbled balls, roughly press both marzipan colors together, but do not knead too hard.
  • Place in pretty paper cups – ideal as a souvenir or Advent treat.
  • Instead of almonds, pistachios or dried cherries in the kernel also work.
Can I also use homemade marzipan?

Yes! Simply blend blanched almonds with maple syrup and a little rose water in a blender. The finer you blend, the better the texture.

How intense does the matcha taste?

Our HEALTHBAR Matcha brings a pleasantly tart freshness that perfectly complements the sweetness of the marzipan – not too dominant, but just right for true matcha fans.

Can I freeze the chocolates?

Yes, but only without the chocolate coating – this ensures the perfect consistency. Simply thaw at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving.

What is the best way to store the chocolates?

They'll keep for 1–2 weeks in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Ideally, store them in a metal container with layers of baking paper between them.

Is there a suitable drinking recommendation?

Yes – a classic Matcha Latte or our Dirty Matcha goes perfectly with it, as does a slightly bitter espresso for contrast.
