💡 Tips & Tricks

  • The bars are easy to freeze - simply store them in a box in the freezer and let them thaw for 10 minutes if necessary.
  • Instead of whole almonds, you can also use chopped nuts or roasted pistachios.
  • For a caffeine-free version, simply omit the matcha – but hey, then you'll be missing out on the best part! 😉
Do I have to cool the bars in the freezer?

Yes, so that they become firm enough and can be easily cut into pieces. Afterwards you can simply store them in the fridge.

Are the bars tasty even without chocolate?

Yes! You can leave out the chocolate and enjoy the bars plain - or top them with some shredded coconut. The base mixture tastes really good even without topping.

Are the bars also suitable for takeaway?

If stored in a cool place, yes. Ideally take them with you in an insulated container or refrigerated. When it's hot, the chocolate becomes soft - so it's more suitable for cool days or office snacks.

Can I bake nut-free instead of almonds?

Clear! Simply use sunflower seeds, puffed quinoa or leave out the nuts completely. The bars remain tasty even without crunch.
