💡 Tips & Tricks

  • For an even more intense color: sift half a teaspoon of extra matcha over the chocolate.
  • The bark is easy to prepare and freeze.
  • Instead of cashew butter, you can also use almond or pistachio butter.
Which dates are best?

Soft, large Medjool dates are perfect because they flatten easily and are nice and sweet. If necessary, you can also use Deglet Nour - if necessary, soak it in warm water beforehand.

Can I do this with a nut allergy?

Yes! Replace cashew butter with sunflower seed butter or coconut cream - this way the consistency remains similar and it works completely nut-free.

Can I also make the bark in small silicone molds?

Absolutely – perfect as individual chocolates. Simply press in the date mixture, put the cream on top, add the chocolate and put it in the fridge.

What is the difference to conventional bark?

Instead of sugar and crackers as a base, this version features soft dates, creamy nut butter and HEALTHBAR matcha. It is more natural, more colorful and more exciting in taste.
