APPLICATION

To use the Chasen, it should be placed in water with the struts facing downwards for 1 minute before each use. This prevents the struts from breaking when stirring.

Ideally, the matcha whisk should be moved in a Z-shape to combine the matcha powder with the water. The chasen should not be pressed too hard into the bowl. The faster the Z-movement is performed, the easier it is to create a delicious matcha foam and the matcha is perfectly combined with the water.

The spoon (chashaku) is made in such a way that you can measure out the ideal amount of matcha powder. For a normal sized matcha cup, take approx. 2 chashaku spoons of matcha powder.

CARE

After use, it is important to clean the matcha whisk with water only and not to use detergent. Simply hold the whisk under warm running water and gently brush it out with your hands. Alternatively, you can soak the whisk in warm water for 1 minute. The preparation should then be repeated without matcha powder in order to clean the whisk optimally. Now shake out the whisk briefly over the sink and leave to dry with the struts facing downwards. Otherwise, mold could form in the handle. Ideally, the whisk should be placed in a suitable "Chasen Yasume" matcha whisk holder.

The chashaku is not cleaned with water, but with a dry cloth. Store in a dry place.

PRODUCTION

The black bamboo has a diameter of 2 to 3 cm and a height of 3 to 5 meters. Only bamboo that is at least 2 years old is used for production. Pieces of bamboo are cut to length. The inner material is removed to make the struts. Now 70 thin struts are cut from the solid skin. A thread is attached to the end of the struts to provide the necessary support. The chasen is not only robust, but also offers the fine matcha powder hardly any opportunity to adhere to the surface.

The black bamboo develops after approx. 8 months, when the stalks gradually turn black and after 2 years turn black-violet. It is therefore also known as purple bamboo and is used for various bamboo works and as ornamental bamboo because of its beautiful culms.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will refund all payments we have received from you, excluding delivery costs. The refund will be made no later than seven days from the day on which we receive your return and we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof that you have returned the goods.

You bear the direct costs of returning the goods.

You only have to pay for any loss in value of the goods if this loss in value is due to handling of the goods that is not necessary for checking their condition, properties and functionality.

Exception to the return conditions

Matcha kits with damaged packaging can only be returned for a flat-rate compensation fee of 5 EUR.

If the packaging of perishable foodstuffs is damaged, these products cannot be returned at all.
