💡 Tips & Tricks

  • Use fresh cherries in season for particularly intense flavor - frozen cherries work all year round.
  • Even fruitier? Add an additional 1 teaspoon of lime juice to the cherry puree.
  • Do you want it creamier? Use coconut rice milk or barista oat milk for extra melt.
Can I also use the cherries raw?

Yes – you can also puree and sieve the cherries directly. However, heating creates a creamier consistency and a more intense taste.

Does the recipe also work without sweetener?

Absolutely! If you use very sweet cherries, you can simply leave out the maple syrup - our matcha also goes well with natural fruit sweeteners.

Which milk is best?

Coconut rice or oat milk is particularly delicious - they harmonize wonderfully with the fruity note of cherries and matcha.

How does the perfect layering work?

Pour the matcha very slowly over the back of a spoon or ice cubes - this way it stays on top and only mixes as you stir.
