Dirty matcha

Matcha meets espresso – the new caffeine hybrid ☕💚

Our Dirty Matcha combines the best of both worlds: the soft green of matcha with the robust taste of a fresh espresso. Creamy, slightly bitter, mildly sweet – perfect for the morning or a quick caffeine boost.

Dirty Matcha is a game of opposites that harmonizes perfectly in the end: the creamy, velvety texture of the Matcha Latte meets the strong, slightly bitter note of espresso. Thanks to our high quality HEALTHBAR Ceremonial Matcha The drink gets a fine sweetness, subtle nuttiness and that typical fresh green tea note, which combines ideally with the intense taste of the espresso.

The play of colors in the glass is particularly beautiful: bright green, milky clouds and the dark espresso that slowly separates. Whether hot or on ice - the Dirty Matcha is not only a visual highlight, but also a real change in taste from classic coffee or matcha drinks.

✨ Ingredients for 1 glass

  • 1 tsp HEALTHBAR Ceremonial Matcha – to the product
  • 60 ml hot water (approx. 80 °C)
  • 150 ml plant-based milk (e.g. oat, almond or soy milk)
  • 1 shot of fresh espresso (approx. 30 ml)
  • Optional: 1-2 teaspoons of agave syrup or honey for sweetness
  • Optional: ice cubes for the iced version

🧑‍🍳 Here's how – step by step

  1. Prepare matcha: Carefully beat the Ceremonial Matcha in a bowl with the hot water (max 80°) with a Matcha whisk until a smooth, frothy tea is created.
  2. Froth milk: Optionally, heat the plant-based milk and beat it until frothy (e.g. with a milk frother) or simply pour it in. For the iced version, simply use cold milk.
  3. Make the matcha latte: Pour the foamed matcha into a glass along with the milk. Refine with sweetness if desired.
  4. Add espresso: Carefully pour the freshly brewed espresso over the matcha latte. It's best to pour it slowly to create the nice dirty effect.
  5. Serve: Enjoy straight away – an absolute pleasure hot or iced!

💡 Tips & Tricks

  • For the perfect visual effect, always pour in the matcha first and then slowly pour in the espresso.
  • Ceremonial Matcha provides a particularly fine, harmonious note - ideal for drinks like this.
  • The iced version is perfect for warm days and brings extra freshness.
What makes Dirty Matcha taste so special?

Dirty Matcha combines two worlds: the subtle sweetness and light freshness of matcha meets the intense roasted aroma of espresso. This creates a balanced taste with a pleasant bitter note, creamy texture and a subtle nuttiness. An exciting taste experience for everyone who likes to try out new coffee variations!

Can you taste the matcha despite espresso?

Yes - our Ceremonial Matcha remains present with its mild, slightly nutty taste and harmonizes perfectly with the strong espresso note.

Which milk is best?

It's creamiest with Barista oat milk, but almond and soy milk also work great. Important: Use without sugar if you want to adjust the sweetness yourself.

Can I also make Dirty Matcha with decaffeinated espresso?

Clear! If you want the full flavor without added caffeine, simply switch to decaffeinated espresso - matcha still delivers its natural energy boost.
